Zinober Diana & Monteverde P.A. is proud to announce that after nearly 26 years of service to the 13th Circuit Court Bench in Hillsborough County, Gregory P. Holder, will be joining our firm when he retires from the Bench in January 2021.
Prior to joining the bench 26 years ago, Gregory Holder litigated business and civil disputes for a well-known commercial firm in Tampa. After ascending to the Circuit Court bench, he presided in virtually every aspect of circuit court litigation, and served as the presiding Judge in some of the most prominent civil trials in Tampa Bay history.
His outstanding background will be a tremendous asset to our law firm, as well as our Tampa legal team. We look forward to his leadership and collaboration as we strive to serve the needs of our Florida clients.
Military and civilian service
Gregory Holder, Retired Circuit Court Judge, graduated with an engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He went on to earn an M.B.A from the University of West Florida and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Stetson University College of Law.
In addition to the judge’s educational accomplishments, he served the nation through various capacities in the United States Air Force (USAF) and Air Force Reserve. Gregory Holder, Retired Circuit Court Judge, contributed to the USAF legal education program, provided defense counsel for service members and worked as a military judge before starting his civilian legal career.
Among the judge’s civilian accomplishments, he:
- Practiced commercial litigation, eminent domain and environmental law
- Served as assistant city attorney in Temple Terrance
- Expanded the Hillsborough Veteran’s Treatment Court to become the premier court of its type in the nation
- Received the “Keeping the American Patriotic Spirit Alive” award from the Hillsborough County Veteran’s Council
